During the day, winners from the previous day’s events will be celebrated, and at night, spectators can enjoy big-screen broadcasts of the finals. Additionally, this space will feature thrilling artistic and cultural performances, all free of charge for the public.

Around 200 Clubs 2024 will be established at various locations in France to allow more people to be part of the celebration. Paris 2024 has designed an exciting program of activities to spread the spirit of the Games throughout French territory. Local athletes will receive a “kit de célébration” to animate the Games in their cities and support the French team. From sports and parade-sport initiations to conferences and cultural events, all of France will vibrate with Olympic excitement.

The Games’ festivities will start weeks before the opening ceremony with the lighting of the Olympic torch in Olympia, Greece. The torch will embark on an exciting journey through the 65 territories of France, including its overseas territories (Guadeloupe, French Guiana, Martinique, French Polynesia, and Réunion), before arriving in Paris for the opening ceremony.

Paris 2024 aims to make these Games accessible to everyone, and thus, the inauguration will be a unique experience on the banks of the Seine River. With stands set up for spectators, over 160 boats will sail from the Austerlitz Bridge to the D’Iéna Bridge, while the delegations parade on board. The Eiffel Tower will also play a part in this impressive ceremony.
